Why We Exist
Surf culture matters beyond surfing. The ocean connects us with a mutual respect for nature, the ocean and the future of all things that belong to the earth. Surfers are built differently. It's not about how you surf but how it makes you feel.
Surfers love the freedom of the ocean. And Folly is a testament to the freedom of expression in our sense of place - Bert's, Chico, our local legends... Those are places and people born from a culture, shared with tourists, but rooted here. Yes, there is a lot of localism in surfing and Folly is no exception, but there's a balance that can be achieved when the common goal is to respect the ocean and just relax, enjoy life, and build community.
